Habitat for Humanity Honors Just Right Heating & Cooling Founder, Dan Dearden

PARK CITY, Utah July 12, 2023 – Friendly Home Services Group (Friendly Group) is proud to announce that Dan Dearden, founder of Just Right Heating & Cooling, has been awarded the “Golden Hammer” at Habitat for Humanity’s 2023 Overall Ball. This respected recognition took place on Friday, June 23rd and celebrates Dan’s outstanding contributions to Habitat for Humanity in Summit and Wasatch Counties, Utah.

The Overall Ball is a fundraiser organized by Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch Counties. It aims to generate funds for decent, affordable homes and raise awareness about Habitat’s mission to address housing needs in the Wasatch Back. The event’s unique dress code of denim, flannel, overalls, painter coveralls, and hard hats truly represents the type of wonderful serving people involved with Habitat for Humanity.

Dan and his company, Just Right Heating and Cooling, have been partners with Habitat for Humanity for more than a decade, installing entire HVAC systems into Habitat homes.

Dan Dearden – HVAC Veteran, Leader, and Mentor

Dan Dearden, a veteran in the heating and air conditioning industry, formally established Just Right Heating & Cooling in 2004. However, Dan’s journey in the industry dates back to 1977. With multiple locations throughout Utah, Just Right Heating & Cooling focuses on training its technicians to deliver trustworthy and professional service to customers. Over his 30-year career, he has helped thousands of customers along the Wasatch Front by providing them with prompt and professional service. As a former North American Technician Excellence (NATE) National Competition Champion, Dan is recognized as an authority in HVAC installation and service. His unwavering commitment to outstanding value and uncompromising quality is evident in every aspect of Just Right Heating & Cooling’s operations.

To guarantee that his team stays at the forefront of industry advancements, Dan ensures that his technicians receive over 40 hours of training each year, keeping them up-to-date with the latest technologies. Furthermore, his dedication to mentorship and education has led him to take on the role of a teacher. Dan will assist in leading a new trade school program for Just Right Heating & Cooling and its sister companies in Utah, called Friendly Group University. His expertise and guidance as an instructor and mentor are invaluable assets to the organization and the Utah community.
